Swan Paul has a particular expertise in the preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments, particularly for renewable energy projects such as wind turbines and solar farms. We have an industry specific software programme called WindPro which can generate items such as Zone of the Theoretical Visibility (ZTV) plans, wire frame designs, photo montages and animations. For solar schemes we have undertaken dozens of studies for sites across the south and south west with many successful and approved schemes now constructed. For Wind turbines we have undertaken extensive site analysis, made planning representations and appeared as expert witness at planning inquires. The practice supports measures to limit climate change and the transition to a low carbon economy and will therefore only undertake commissions in support of renewable energy schemes.
